That's from any typical Hollywood blockbuster action movie, such as Armageddon. It's also used in trailers for said movies. I can't name a specific movie, but that's the genre it would be found in. It's meant to build up suspense.

I agree, but it's not just the acting in that scene. It's all the elements: the scene, the acting, the cinematography, the music. It's what we'd call "magic" I guess. Vader sounded in a literal sense menacing, but his demeanor was not. I'm just a film buff though, and the average person wouldn't give a damn about this.
