Yeah, normal nebulas are actually millions of times less dense than air. In reality, you couldn't even tell if you were in a nebula or not. It's the entire mass of a star spread over a volume that can be up to 100 lightyears. If you got into one where it was as dense or even denser, I don't think anything could survive the pressure or heat.

Most nebulas are actually quite dense.  The time when a nebula is at its thinnest is right after a super nova, but over the many millenia it would have time to become more dense.

However, nebulas overall aren't very dense.  There are pockets of gas that can become millions of times more dense than our atmosphere which tend to be more volatile, but these are pockets, not the entire nebula.

Rise from your grave thread!

OK, after much searching, I was unable to find a replacement sound as good as DaBrain's, so with his permission, I'd like to use it. I found a second sound though.

They might need a little tweaking of levels to get them at the proper loudness in game, but I think these sound so much better than :v:'s. The nebula seems much more dark and forboding. Is anyone willing to host this or evaluate it at least? I'll have them before and after leveling. I can add more effects as I find them if there ever should be a mod.

Not likely. Real nebulae are nowhere near as dense as sci fi nebulae - in fact they're less dense than even the best artificial vacuums we make here on earth.
