Meh.. I like huge mettalic robots with big guns and swords and capes and stuff...mean looking too. .. wouldn't mind if they transformed either..

That's a cyborg. ;) They're actually around now in certain forms - the latest replacement limbs are controlled by brainwaves, and there are basic bionic eyes in existence. Artificial organs are not far off, and from there it'll be possible to replace large parts of the body with mechanical systems. I suspect skeletal augmentation/replacement and the like isn't more than a century off...
Any fool can pull a trigger...
