Hi there!

After I've installed FS Open for getting new Engine (Version 3.6) I've got some really serious problems:

1) Freespace is no more able to play any cutscenes or the intro movie.

2) There is no, absolutly NO mission I can warp out! This makes it impossible to play the campaign:(

Did I anything wrong while installing FS Open or did I chose some wrong functions in setup?

I would be really glad if some would have an answer for me!:)

1) [V] had to rip out the MVE code, but the movies are available in avi somewhere.
2) What does it exactly say? Is the jump engine broken or doesn't he do anything?

The computer says my engines are broken.

3.6 had a bug in it that always prevented warp out on very easy and did it sometimes on higher skill levels too according to some reports.

3.6 is pretty ancient though.. Why are you using such an old build?


As for cutscenes. I've got a detailed answer to that one here.

Well, 3.6 was the last version I found on my system. I didn't looked yet for a newer version.

Seems I better do so

I'll try now the latest version. Hope it works

The higher skill level was probably a collision bug that has since been fixed.
