I believe that it was "Hull breaches on all decks"
actualy, mabye not.

It is very rare for an entire hull form to change in 'refits' and 'upgrades'.  The Herc II, just by appearance and dimensions, is too radically different from the Herc to be a simple upgrade.

The F-18 is not a good example to use as the form of the vehicle remains basically the same.  Sure, you have a few stretches here and there, but that's about it.

If all you use is "speed and maneuverability without sacrificing loadout capacity" as a justification, then you might as well say that the Perseus is a simple upgrade of the Valkyrie.

By your logic, the Corsair II should have been named the Crusader II.  Both aircraft look superficially the same (indeed, the Corsair was derived from the Crusader) but make no mistake: both aircraft are quite different beasts.

I wonder what would have happened if the Herc II had been named something else, hm?

hmmm... Dunno.. this looks good to me..what do you think?

B.t.w. - I'm in the process of adding nameplates on all stock FS2 ships (and improving them - I gave the Orion and Typhon 27 turrets each, and I'm currently adding more detail on the Hecate)
I'll put it for download once I'm done, but i have to ask one question - how to go about with vasudna nameplates? anyone know a good font fot that? Maby I should try Tolkien Elven (quenya)? LOL

Trash-man: I like how it looks, but are you going to use my system at all?  I, too, have started redoing lots of stock FS2 ships.  Might work out better if we worked together.

Trash: There's some Vasudan text used in SA - you might try asking Phreak or Sesq (can't remember offhand who made it) if you could have a look at it...
