Depends which Transformers you're thinking of. There were several sets that would connect together to make one big robot too.

Ironically I can only remember the Aerialbots even though I actually had both of the other sets that could do it and never actually owned a single aerialbot

The Power Rangers was just a very successful rip-off of Voltron. I have the complete Voltron set somewhere. ^_^

Voltron was the big mechanical Lions with pilots that combined to make a big dude with a sword (they always use swords...)  The thing that gets big...didn't come to America early enough to look like it was good (that would've had to be in the 80's or early 90's).  And I don't even remember what its called...heck I didn't watch it.

I can't remember the name of the princess from Voltron...anyone?
