Ok after I install it using the Iso's, do I need them anymore and can I use the Cds?

You should be able to. But I'd recommend using FS2_open or use the no cd crack. You only need the cd's for the cutscenes anyway.

FS2 Open is basically a replacement for the FS2.exe file and an addition to the .vp files so it goes in your \freespace2\ folder.

For FS2_open, is it the actual game or is it like a mod?

FS2_open is basically a better version of the retail FS2. It supports better graphisc etc etc. Just makes the game look nicer

About those errors: try to uninstall it via the Control Panel --> software subscreen. Then try to install it again.

If you're using DaemonTools you right click on the systray icon choose Virtual CD/DVD_ROM and then set number of devices.

Daemon tools: Right click on tray icon, Virtual CD/DVD ROM -> Set number of devices... ->
Daemon tools supports only 4 drives though, so you probably have some other virtual drive program installed.

Meh, I forgot: I got the dutch version its called software there. In the English add/remove programs indeed. If that doesnt work , well regedit all the FS2 keys out of the registry and delete the FS2 folder
