Or just a giant shield, like a contact lense in shaoe, to guard the fighterbay...?

Would putting fighter models in the fighter bay be going overboard?

[chant] Do it! Do it![/chant]

Sounds like a good idea, and it adds some good depth to it.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Really?  Shows how much *I* know! :)

I'm not getting how rotating links to shield generation.  Then again, aren't rotate-y things in FS usually sensors, jammers, etc?

The cyllinder could be an externally mounted subspace drive motivator.  Most ships have their's inside, but the hull design didn't include alot of space for the proper cooling equipment, so it is externally mounted to compensate for this.  Also, having it external, leaves more space for fighter compliments and fleet co ordination systems to support its fleet command carrier role.

Yes. Put dock points instead and then we can multi-dock whatever the hell we like there. If you model in fighters they can never launch and never change.

I will only put in a few fighters, and it will have lots of dock points also, just it would look nice with some damaged fighters in there as well.

By the way, how many dock points are suported?

None just yet, cause I'm trying to think of what a Vasudan docking point would look like.

But, it would be nice to have over 20.

The docking point would look like the main hall while you're aboard the Psamtik.

In the vasudan main hall ships rest in "trays" it seems, though that could be just a transport mechanism.

Im loving the model, but i have to say the hanger looks mighty terran, especially with the square entrance, needs vasudanising, with all the swirling curvy lines of niceness.
