I finally fashioned a fuselage that I like.

1334 polies:





I might model a cockpit, I might not, I'm not sure how the glass thing works and I don't feel like texturing any more than I have to.

Now for the most annoying part:  Those blasted belly guns.  I do want to keep those.  Unfortunately, they'll have to be made from scratch which I'm not looking forward to.

At least I have plenty of polies to play around with...

(slips note under door, note reads:  I think it looks cool, especially the new nose, do something with the back of the body to make it more interesting, maybe you could cut holes in the sides of the side-pods to make it more like erinyes)

I've got an idea for you to consider.  Extend the engine pods out away from the main body a little, and create a sort of wing that the engine pods are attached to.  It would still keep the overall profile of the Eyrines, but at the same token also give it more of a new look, so it doesn't look like a replica of the same ship.

That would give it a more Loki-ish look, but I may do that because I'm having trouble finding a place to mount the staple Erinyes "Uber-Guns" on the main fuselage.

maybe you can put the uberguns on either side of the cockpit, between the pod and the body, but still have the pod and the body flush against each other,

Well, I have a lot more freedom to experiment because now, I just dicovered, I have a hole in the connecting mesh of the fuselage and engines,:hopping: so now, I get to redesign the connection all over again.

I'll try out some of your suggestions and post some of the more successful ones.
