This is what it looks like ATM, for the record. Ignore the unfinished (Small box) corners - they should look like the ones on the top right (of the top down image) not the bottom left. And I'm still not 100% sure on what's being done with the inner corners.

The only thing I'd wonder about is the odd shape of the main box - you'd think it'd be as boxlike as possible, to provide the most storage room.

However, Freespace is not all that big on realism. And it looks better as it is than a big box. So there.

That looks great. Can't wait to see it textured.

It would be easy enough to think of some excuse for all the notches and grooves. They are used for the docking/clamping mechanism.

I don't particularly care (red seems most appropriate IMHO) but I would suggest you use one of the glowpoints already found in the MediaVP.  I'm not sure if they are duplicate-loaded or not, but as it stands every Terran fighter, HTL and non, that was in FS2 has glowpoints now and there's really no reason to add a virtually identical file to the mix.
