Social change has to come from within.  How often has a directed external influence ever managed to have a significant positive effect on a nations internal workings?  More than likely any real condemnation from the rest of the world will just give these and others an excuse for a bunker mentality and further polarize the affair.  If your own government willfully ignores the issue what little commentary we could drum up (particularly how Isreal is known to ignore global opinion already) will simply accomplish nothing.

The world is filled with places where this behavior is not accepted, so leave the idiots and the fanatics to their crumbling delusions and go to where you can have a future.

Theologically? There's not supposed to be a difference at all, although usually Messianic Jews are more aware of the Old Testament roots of the Christian faith than their run-of-the-mill Christian counterparts, who sometimes think that the Bible begins at Matthew.

A product of the reproductive drive, perhaps? I.e. the instinctual drive to say 'I'm better than you so I get all the females!" sort of a thing....

If that could be suppressed.....well, it probably wouldn't do much, but I bet it'll at least give everyone a slightly clearer head :p

But maybe our genetics wouldn't be so good.  Its probably a catch 22.

Cheers, that cleared it up. :) So do the Christian Arabs get this kind of hassle as well (I'm sure there are plenty of people who are generally anti-Arab in Israel, but specifically Christian Arabs)? Or the Christian pilgrims who visit the country? Or is it just because these Jews are "betraying their heritage" etc etc?

It's disgusting either way, if not terribly surprising... :blah:

The Christian Arabs? Hassled? No, not really... it's more of a downright persecution in the Islamic nations (i.e. the Christian Arabs in Israel go relativley unharassed, but under PA rule...). Like, dragged from homes in the middle of the night, never to be seen again persecution.

But at least under those nations there's no pretense at freedom of religion.
