yeah there was the 1983 hurricane (CAT4 i believe) that hit Houston H-A-R-D... did a bunch of damage. then Allison in 2001 was just a joke compared to what this is going to be (hurricane >>>> tropical storm). only thing Allison did was rain a lot. this isn't even going to compare.
i'm seriously considering the prospect of losing our house. i've taken pictures of it already. we live in a heavily wooded area, and just one tree on the house is all it takes. of course it's insured, but it'll still never be the same. it's sad. i hate change, but i'm almost positive this is going to kill our house

People will, I just hope it does't make landfall in Houston as a Cat.5 and in it's north eyewall. I hope all of the evacuees have got out of the Astrodome.
well once it hits land it'll start weakening... i'm thinking it'll probably be a cat4 by the time it hits us, but still scary.
looking here tonight, it seems like just a regular night. sky's perfect, weather feels great.
48 hours from now there's going to be trees falling, and 180+ MPH winds. not looking forward to it
