I'm running on anisotropic(SP?), model detail as high as it'll go(why is the highest "normal?"), the fancy smoke on, dynamic lighting on everything, Force DirectX7 OFF, and yet, the textures ingame are HORRIBLE. Jesus Christ. With Force Direct X 7 ON, everything looks fine, but then I don't get dynamic lighting. What's with this bull****?

what's your card?

do not torment the sleep deprived artist, he may be vicious when cornered,
in case of emergency, administer caffeine to the artist,
he will become docile after that,
and less likely to stab you in the eye with a mechanical pencil

I liked it... played more or less like the original, although I don't like only carrying two guns... two plus a pistol and some grenades was much better. Loved the chaos of the urban environment. Thought it was sometimes a little hard to tell exactly where the shooting was coming from without looking at the compass.

Overall... excited. :D
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Funny we all in america saw the swatica as a evil bad sign, when in reality, in several religons it was a holy symbol of god and creation.

Ironic i think.
-So was this a holy war for the germans?

There was grenades, you have to press another button, 'G' I believe, to throw them. Much easier than having to change your weapon to Grenades just to throw them...

That's because many people (not just Americans) don't read into things and just accept their face value. That's why so many American Tourists are in a state of shock when they see the Swastika (Reversed of course) on many Hindu Temples around the world...

Nope, he [Hitler] simply chose the symbol because he felt it aptly conveyed the strengths of NSDAP, not for any truly religeous aspect. From what i've read, Nazism was a mainly Christian regime, and Hitler himself had an intense interest in the Occult, neither of which prove to give any signifigance to the religeous aspect of the Swastika...

*sigh*

for the love of...
it's only a game for pete's sake, let's not have a theological debate about something that doesn't have an effect on gameplay anyway.

yes, the Swatstika was a symbol of peace & such, and yes the Nazis used them for their aspirations, but your average, run of the mil person doesn't know that, ESPECIALLY Ignorant people who are likely to ***** and whine about it.

has anybody seen photos of the area of El Daba, anyway?. it might be historically acurrate for all you guys could know.

Yeah no, I know that. I just meant that you can carry less weapons... you're right that it is easier to throw grenades now that you don't have to switch weapons. Actually, the smoke grenade is pretty cool.
