I'm making some alien ships (2 more races). This is one.
What do you think?
Does it look alien enough? (note - friendly alien race!)

But that cockpit looking upwards doesn't make much sense.
And the front end could be a bit more ... hmmm ... tricky. Something like the other one.

I like it though. It's pretty different in style from the other races.

Something about the fuselage doesn't look right to me. The wings and the nose protrusions keep a certain curvaceous style, but the fuselage is a simple cylinder. Likewise, the cockpit doesn't fit. With a little work to bring the whole thing together, it would look excellent.

I'll get on it as soon as I can.
This was just a test model to see if the shape works well.
ALL ships of this race will have those bat-like wings, even their cruisers and destroyers. I'll fix the main hull - it is too cylinder like.

I corrected it and made two new models.
What do you think now?


Should I make the on on the right (the largest one) a cruiser.
And that in the middle, I'm not sure on which side to put the cockpit?
Any advice?

I'd let you run wild on that so far - have you got a poly limit? Do you want to cram this into FS2, or can you just make a wildly detailed version?

ALL my models have a very low polycount!!!(200-400 for fighters)
They just look great - becoause I'm good at making them that way!

All of your ships look pretty much the same to me.  While it's a neat model, not all the ships for that race should be nearly identical.

These are just basic models, and only three of them.
They wont look the same when I finish (and they dont look the same now)
