Russia. Doesn't it strike anyone as unbelievably arrogant that the RIAA/US government (they seem to be turning into the same thing these days :p) is trying to push it's anti-consumer version of DRM onto the rest of the world?

but seriously folks, russia's a teensy bit outside United States territory, so, the RIAA are gonna find fighting their little war rather like pushing **** up a hill with a stick.

The US was able to pull this crap with some of it's "allies". On the other hand those countries are also very dependant on the US for almost everything, Russia isn't. If anything the US is dependant on Russia because of it's oil.

Yeah, sure, the RIAA is going to tell Russia what to do. Hell, why not go all out and tell all of Asia to be nice and pay up. How I miss the good old days, where shortly after issuing such a demand, the head of the RIAA would be involved in a completely unrelated, tragic and fatal car accident.

The Russians make a ton of money from counterfeiting operations.

No ****ing way the Russian Mafia is gonna take this ****. They'll probably laugh at them, then cut the RIAA execs hands off.
