You could try allocating less bandwidth to uploading and see if that helps your connection. Can't have you get killed because of a bittorrent seed

Yeah, lots of terrible ways to die in MMOs Haven't tried Eve, but had my share playing EverQuest some years ago. In no particular order, my most common were:

Accidentally hitting the windows key (which is now 'the empty space formerly known as the windows key' on my old keyboard)
Toilet breaks
Phone ringing
Curiosity
Overconfidence
Stupid group members

And...   falling asleep at the keyboard Did that a bit more often than I ought to, I guess as a result of playing on a US schedule from Europe heh.

I think the only thing I thought was missing was a link to HLP itself, people are going to see a Huge .RAR file with the name Freespace2, and ignore the SCP because they don't know what it means. Still, not to worry, good that the thing is getting some distribution

Just downloaded this, and seeded to a share rating of somewhere around 3.

Question though... when upgrading this to the most recent CVS build, do I need to update the mediavps too?  I got an error when I did so,

ERROR: "Could not load WarpMap01 anim file" at fireball/fireballs.cpp:690 when trying to start a new campaign.

I'm about to download the most recent pack, but just wanted to make sure something else wasn't up.

EDIT: Solved.  If anyone else has this problem, check your /data/ folder for a file named cmdline.fso - there's likely an option there screwing things up.  Apparently, the whole file can be safely deleted.

Got it, seeding too.  Question, how do you not use the low-end shockwaves?

If you prefer a higher end shockwave, just download the one you want, and place it in the mediavps(or whatever you called that folder)/data/effects folder. It will then override the one in the VP. All this of course assuming you're using the media VPs as a mod, which you should. If you're not, it has to go into the scp data/effects folder instead of the one for the mod.

Yeah, its everithing right, but I think that my only error has to put the HTL ursa and the Low end Shockwaves in the data folder intead of the media vps...
