Omni stated we (the public) can use them, just credit him for (conversion) and the artist int he read me (Khaliban or Scotchy).
Sounds good, and yes you should wait til you can get the time to be more organized. Since I am doing a TC (total Conversion) I have always had a pretty clear picture of what I wanted the mod(s) to be and what general storyline should follow, even if it does span 4-5 eras (it has gotten so big you go from Late TMP era to TNG, DS9, and beyond Nemesis).
While one individual approached me a year ago wantign to work on story alone I turned him down because our approach to moddign was opposite. 90% or what I needed still ahs to be worked on and I was not going to start fredding at that stage. To me Fredding a TC comes just beore voice acting (as they are intertwined and can kill 2 birds with one stone).
The success I've personally had with ROBOTECH stems from the fact the storyline is already doen (the tV episodes) and most of the voice acting is simple wave captures from those same episodes. I am usign that experience to build upon with Trek. And while I have no real "team" plenty of people were willing to donate/invest time for a ship or two here and there or an image or other resource so while they had no real commitment to this mod they HAVE contributed in a real and meaningful way that allows it to progress. Like I said so far I have reached the 3 year of continuos work on this (and other mods) so what I've recealed is the best "show pieces", but far from the total content.
Not bad for someone with little to no skill eh? (ie don't get me started about LODS! If I ignore them they ignore me and we get along just fine!

)
This started as a personal project and I had great hope of community involvement/excitement when Omniscaper appeared on the scene, but when he abandoned Trek for BSG (Understandably) it died off again leaving me alone.
