The VBB...
I've been there every day for the last year and a half.
Posting, recruiting, organizing 3D animations, trying a good concept with Top Gun and further wit the accademy of fighter pilots, meeting new people ignoring others, getting banned from both the VBB and PXO, just at a crytical time of my squad and our war against the BDHR and the BMS.
Getting hacked and loosing both our squad BB's of which I am moderator and CO still now. Getting flamed, flaming and in general trying desperately to stop a stupid war started out of bordom for some and taken to some extremess experienced only on the VBB SW forum.
It had to be stopped. Especially latelly it was out of control. Those who out of a certain sense of style would not use swear words, in the last 2 weeks where using them indiscriminatelly.
I don't think there was a direct order to close it.
I think it was a spear of the moment decision someone took.
That's why it's still there.
Someone has to first clean it up.
do a massive job of pruning it hack maybe even erasing all and start again with new registrations and this time appoint someone to moderate it. Impose bans immediatelly and sharpen the blade of the hack.
It's not hard to see who the bad elements are and truly ignoring is usually the ONLY mesure of force the whole community can adopt to safeguard itself from possible escalating involvements.
The sw community shown that SW is still played daily the leagues even if clogged are still slowly cruncing positions away.
It is also exames times for a lot of the peeps so it is now in its down phase.
As per usual it will come back up and already an ever increasing number of newbies have spawned in the lobby of PXO because the game has been bundled with a video card or a joystick.
I feel the SW forum will come back up cleaner and way better than before. All the AZZWipes that have been harassing its society (and I humbley include my own name there) have a different aptitude.
Helping the community seem to make more sense than flamming each other.
We probably still feel the same about each others but at least now there is a good strong attempt at tollerance.
I say Long live this game, its incredible society, and the amazing energy it has created.
By the way the SW VBB is now splintered in to at least 4 different groups and posting an a variety of boards including Volition Red Faction.

My presence here, if still allowed, will be regular and loyal. I wanted to find a group of 3D animators using Lightwave and hopefully in to sci-fi and of course Free Space, I think I found them.
I have a strong intent to bring back both my squads HAF and HAF-Elite from basically a state of statheis. I will we are resliant us HOMS!
I would also love to some how fly the F-440 or the herc MK III I created.
I'm not sure if anyone here is familiar with our science officer HAF-Sabrina.
She's amazing. Apart from making interesting missions continuing the storyline of the HOMS and how they came to be part of the alliance the GTVA. She's made some mods and gaves us some aids to the common weapons like laser targetting the Expansion bomb. It's rate of expansion accelerating with its size taking any thing in its expansion. It is a mine and has to be fitted on a cap ship . it activates after the cap ship's destroyed and blows up.
I have not seen anyone also have that on PXO.
Missions I started and she completed in Subspace. She's great value and very dedicated.
It's all part of a dream I hope to make a reality with the first fully animated Motion picture on FS2. "The Great Homs Story."
