Thought this one was pretty funny:
"People say Microsoft paid 14M$ for using the Rolling Stones song 'Start me up' in their commercials. This is wrong. Microsoft payed 14M$ only for a part of the song. For instance, they didn't use the line 'You'll make a grown man cry'."

I got that once on boot up.  I hit "Enter" and it went away.

Also, the story of how Windows got it's name.

Someone was up coding late one night.  He finished the first version of his operating system and compiled the code.  As soon as he ran it it froze.  In a fit of rage, he threw his computer out the window.  Bill Gates was walking under the window when the computer hit.  He picked out the hard drive, ran the OS, then sold it.  He called it Windows.

Bush (Verb) -- To do stupid things with confidence.

This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address occurred during the same week.  This is an ironic juxtaposition of events--one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.

Bumper stickers at my college:
"Republicans for Voldemort!"
"Frodo failed.  Bush got the Ring."

Resistance is futile!  (If < 1 ohm...)

Sig rising...

I think I've heard about 90% of those.

Also, there's several variations of the joke that ends in 'quoth the server, 404'.
'And anyway, I agree - no sig images means more post, less pictures. It's annoying to sit through 40 different sigs telling about how cool, deadly, or assassin like a person is.' --Unknown Target

"Bill Gates avoids it at every possible opportunity?"

"Geek's favorite pickup line: Hey, does this rag smell like chloroform? "

This applies to some old forum questions in HLP (you know the sort)-

I shot a query into the net.
I haven't got an answer yet,
But seven people gave me hell
And said I ought to learn to spell;

A posted message called me rotten
For ignoring mail I'd never gotten;
An angry message asked me, Please
Don't send such drivel overseas;

A lawyer sent me private mail
And swore he'd slap my ass in jail --
I'd mentioned Un*x in my gem
And failed to add the T and M;

One netter thought it was a hoax:
"Hereafter, post to net dot jokes!";
Another called my grammar vile
And criticized my writing style.

Each day I scan each Subject line
In hopes the topic will be mine;
I shot a query into the net.
I haven't got an answer yet ...
