Perhaps, but I doubt that the film would take place entirely from A1's perspective (as the camera).  That's not to say that a film shouldn't or indeed hasn't been done from that perspective, but its too artsy and would distract the general viewing audience, (you know, the ones who dish out the big bucks so the studio will think there's a sequel and possible franchise in it and finance such ventures) from the plot.
