er... okay maybe I shouldn't have used the word 'blocky'... I don't find the R1 Nemesis blocky (if that's the one you're referring to).

The old Galatea just looks too squarish and stuff... bleh, I'm not that good at explaining. Funny that I actually liked it when I first saw it, but consequent viewings via Modelview quickly changed my mind... :nervous: :lol:

What he's trying to say is that you can see that it is basically just loads of bricks joined together.

You can see all the blocks that it is made of. It's split up at those divides. That sort of thing. I also think that, but I don't care as long as it doesn't have that stupid Fenris-style sticky outy thing at the top. :doubt:

If I ever learn to model (:rolleyes:), then I'll probably re-make the Chelob, I liked the idea of a Manticore-Basilisk hybrid (the Gorgon just adds a few spikes).

Speaking of returreting... I was taking a look at the Asarte today, and noticed that there are a few multi-part turrets that could use some fixing.  In fact, all of the multi-part turrets have their barrels pointing in a non-straight-vertical manner.  The worst are the pair under the nose, which are in fact rotated and pointing outwards.  You are still using the Asarte, right?

I thought that all Inferno ships had been re-turretted, including Vasudan ones... They all use uniform turrets now, no?

I'd say 95% of the ships use uniform turrets, the rest were left for specific reasons.

No, why put HTL turrets on non HTL craft?
The EA ones are higher than the FS2 ones, but I wouldn't call them too extreme.

Speaking of textures,

Woo, you should make glowpoints for ttile03 (the blue circuitboard texture), it really adds a new dimension to EA ships.

Case in point: Eclipse cruiser and EA-textured Odin.
