Snail - well...I must agree with you. :p Cockpits are annoying when it comes to space-sims and fighter shooters.
If in your opinion there's no difference beetwen "Master Game" and "Game Master", I can only feel for you.

Where is the problem? Just release the ships.tbl (in the VP) without the "show ship" flag for playable fighters, and a separate cockpits-shp.tbm which adds the "show ship" flag to every playable ship, so who doesn't like cockpits can play without cockpits, and who likes cockpits (like me! :D) can play with them.

Story is top secret, because it's diffrent than all the stories what you've ever seen and the end too ;)

EA fleet in ED is very strange: it's mix of Inferno models, single models from Hades-Combine and Scooby's models.

GTA, PVN and Shivan models're made specialy for ED, and never used before. Models'll be HTL, but in future...

I rather enjoyed the cockpit view in Freelancer. IMHO, it makes you feel more a part of the universe. And, it feels cozy.

It all really depends on the cockpit itself man. In Tachyon, as far as I can remember, the cockpit barely got in the way. Also I kinda like cockpits because I can actually SEE what I'm piloting. During battle I kinda lose the notion that I'm piloting a perseus and begin thinking I'm in a Herc or something.
I have created a masterpiece.
