No, I didn't say combat skills.

Start a Caldari Achura bloodline character, study Biology and Mnemonics, they both give 20% bonus to stats per level, which decreases learning time. They are not available to older characters.

uhm ... your wrong

Biology:

The science of life and of living organisms, and how chemicals affect them. 20% Bonus to attribute booster duration per skill level.

and mnemonics isnt in the game

oh and also if the devs screwed the community like this everyone would just quit :) so its never gonna happen just like they said at the fanfest

Well, seems we are both wrong in that case.... ;)

I'll have to check up on what Attribute boosters are in that case :)

That picture was taken about 10 minutes before I posted it, though, I did try to create another character with it just now, and it wasn't there, so I may have just got lucky with that character.

attribute boosters are something for Kali/Revelations.  Basically temorary implants that last 30 minutes and give you some good boosts to how your ship handles and comes at the cost of some other ship handling properties.

So that's why Saga is taking so long... :p

I gave it up a long time ago. Partially because it limited time I could spend on Saga :)

I bought and created a WoW account on February 12th 2005, stopped playing April 6th 2006. I enjoyed WoW a lot, but at some point it really became a bit too repetitive especially on level 50 and above. This is an MMORPG so it is expected, but my main gripe really is the time and trouble you need to invest into the game to be successful at high levels (50+). Instances take a lot longer to complete not to mention that you need to grind these high-level instances over and over again to get your über armor sets. WoW is very enjoyable until you reach lvl 50 and maybe even up to lvl 60 at which point you're either forced to repeat high-level content to either gain item sets, weapons or honor.

That said, I'm still itching to play some more WoW even after 7 months. I guess I'll give it another chance once the new 2.0 patch is out, not planning to buy the expansion though until I'm certain it really is worth it. Strangely enough I've never been much of a fan of multiplayers. In fact WoW is the first multiplayer game I have ever played longer than a few days. It remains to be seen whether WoW will also be the last, as Bioware is working on an MMORPG of their own which is told to avoid the constant repeat of content (especially high-level content) which is my main gripe with WoW.

like i've said elsewhere, it really does shine when you play with a few friends, whether or not liquor is involved, you decide  :P

It really does make the game sooo much better though. The liquor, not the friends.

Honestly though, I've put in 108 days on my main character alone since launch, which really isn't a lot. I guess I know the right people. I kind of ran out of reason to play though, until the expansion comes out. I've done most of what PvE has to offer (okay, I haven't really done much of Naxx, though the gear will be outdated by level 67 anyway) and I finished what the PvP grind had to offer, so unless I want to put a gun in my mouth and shoot my own brains all across the wall repeatedly every night for five hours a night... err... I mean, join another epic raiding guild, just to get a few pieces of random, soon to be obsolete Paladin damage gear to casually pwn *****es in BGs, there's nothing other than social reasons to play.

Imo, that kind of sucks. What would be really nice is if there were some more non-repeatable, soloable (albeit challenging) content, quests and what not, once you get your character to level 60 raiding status. There really isn't much to do on your own once you've gotten to 60+ raid status, except PUG BGs or farm for gold.

I admit, WoW is not the best game ever. I kind of joined because two of my really good friends play who don't live near me, so I can hang out with them. :) I have GuildWars and I like it MUCH better. It is much more complex and keeps me on my toes. WoW is a bit too simple.

Anyway, I hate the separate server thing... GW you can play with ANY of your friends you want. I'm on Thorian Brotherhood mostly. I have another char on Durath. I think that's the name.

My roomie has Eve online, it looks cool, I'm actually afriad to get it cause I might never be seen again :)

I played WoW for about 2 years.  I have a 60 Rogue on Bleeding Hollow (recently transfered to Twisting Nether) and a 51 Warrior on Twisting Nether.

It was fun for awhile, but the grind got really dull.  And for the most part the community is horrible.  90% elitist raiders and wanna-be elitist raiders.

I also played Eve-O for a time and that was interesting.  Stopped after the corp I joined got hostily taken over and everything was stolen.  That was funny, but I just kinda realized that the game wasn't all THAT fun.  Kinda like work.  =/

Now I play the Saga of Ryzom, which is alright except that not enough people play.  Can be frusterating sometimes.

Yes, it is kinda sad that majority of current WoW players seems to consist of elitist raiders or jerks.

Yeah, that's one of the problems that is inherent with the game, especially with the larger corps, all of a sudden merely playing for fun becomes secondary to meeting your contracts etc. I hated the idea of coming home from a day of work only go hunting materials or goods for another corporation.

It's like piracy, I've heard people suggest that Eve have a non-PvP server, but because of the way the Market and Industry works, it would cripple the game, personally I'm not all that bothered for the main part, though people who exploit the game in order to commit piracy in safe sectors get on my nerves.

I've personally never been caught out, but I know people who have, and simply saying 'Well, you'll know better next time' isn't really an excuse. Same as WoW a lot of people tend to forget it's supposed to be a pastime I think.

Still, enough *****ing, I sound like I hate the game, and I don't, it's great, just has a few niggling problem, but what game doesn't?

Edit : Yay! I've joined the 10K club! :D
