I would prefer 3d ones since you would have "real" lightning instead of an allways perfectly ligthed out cockpit as you got it in WC3.

I actually agree with Tolwyn. THe instuments on a 2D cockpit would probably be way easier to read than the ones on a 3d cockpit. Let alone if that cockpit was supposed to be rocking and shaking and stuff. YOu guys had that one Saga Wallpaper with the WC3 cockpit on it. I think something like that would be perfect and it looks great. I mean, great graphics ok, but I don't want my radar to be unreadable because I got the sun shining in my side window giving me nothing but a white specular reflection on my radar screen. That might be cool looking and realistic but it's annoying. If you are in the middle of a dogfight do you really care about the lighting in your cockpit? There should be the option to turn the cockpit off anyway, as there was in WC3, since some people would probably prefer a HUD only view.

Btw.. I recently noticed.. is it possible that the target lock brackets are not really centered around the ships correctly? Sometimes I get those brackets somewhat next to the fighter instead of really around it...

The Kilrathis? I believe, that on some subsystem POF data is not 100% correct.

Remebering Starlancer with its 3D cockpit and lighting and such it was still quite playable but then their wheren't any elements you needed to read.
As for spec...you could just make a non-reflective map but I would like to see the lightning after a torpedorun when the cap explodes behind me.

As I said, cocpits arean option after, and only after, we finish every ship we need for the main campaign. We will need to upgrade only 5 fighters (e.g. Arrow, Hellcat, Thunderbolt, Longbow, Excalibur). The only drawback is it won't be possible to disable cocpits.

Maybe when we reach the point where we got all these ships done the SCP team has that part of the code also finished. ^_^

btw the hellcat's console is mostly done, i fact you can find a heavily modified version on my newer fighters.  But I'm not touching them on Saga till everything else is done.

what kind of black thing? There ain't a single cocpit, there ain't a black thing

I think he is trying to say that he wants cockpit but it seams as if their are sometimes problems with the alpha channel that results in parts of the cockpit beeing black...at least that is what I understand.
