No what I take glee in, is looking though the concept art to get an idea of what shivan ships would look like if they were what wanted. Go take a look for your self, shivan ships were not supposed to be just red and spiky, but a demonic and organic, skeleton look. That is how I designed the Moloch, and is how I plan to do the demon and any other shivan ship I do.

If you're approaching it from such a direction, what drew you to the Demon?  It's probably the most 'normal' looking Shivan capital ship - there's not much scope for Giger-ing it up without a wholesale revamp.

Ditto. I'm not one for FS purism, but the mountain goat horns don't do it for me. It's too familiar to me, not alien at all. If the horns split or did something weird, it would look better.

No my thread title was named like that to stop new people from coming in here and screaming "Oh my!! what did you do to my favorite ship!" and then start demanding all these changes to it. I just prefer to give them warning to stay out of the thread or they are coming in at their own risk.

There is one obvious issue with those horns: the points where they protrude from are right about where the Demon's beam turrets should be. The horns are big enough that the beams will often go through them in the game and look stupid.

I think the horns look ridiculous (even if it wasn't supposed to be a Demon) in those pictures, but I'll wait until the entire thing is finished before passing any further judgment on it.

On a side note, you guys should stop calling these things HTL ships. That designation makes no sense at all. Call them high poly ships or something. HTL has been a standard feature of games for several years now and has nothing to do with the model detail directly.

No, the neck is wider at this point, I need it that way for the tiem being.
