Does anyone now a other converter besides the ****** bink and smacker with the BIG qualaty loss. if not you 640x480 users wil have bad luck and end up with a bit ugly explosions in tap, the 1024x7.. looks good so.

Adobe Premiere can export and avi (and probably any movie file format you have a codec installed for) into a series of frames which you could probably convert into PCX's by using batch conversion routines built into PicaView and Paint Shop Pro (Photoshop might have the facility to do this but I have no experience with that program). However obtaining Premiere through official channels is quite expensive and difficult to justify unless you want to also do serious movie editing.

Animation Shop works for me, but that costs money. (it comes bundled with PSP) There are several free ones out there though, but I can't remember any names at the moment.

I use illusion to make explosions and save them as avi's then i use bink to convert them, but bink sucks, i used bright to hold most of the colors but then anibuilder ****s the palletes up.
