[Super Nova]

I've been having a problem with the Open AL sound devices for FS2_Open. If I choose any thing other than Generic Software, the sounds are played, but some of them are muffled up. If I choose Generic Software, I can hear all the sound effects like in retail, except everything...sounds "odd." I can hear them clearly, but there's some sort of buzz/crackle along with it. (I don't know really know how to describe it.)

So, is there any way I can fix this?
My audio card is (as the launcher called it) SB X-Fi Audio [CCE0]

This is a usual response you'll get from it. I think it just like that by default. Try  running the retial version and see for yourself. You have to get used it. Sorry.

Try getting the latest OpenAL?  There's a new one out.  And get the latest drivers for your sound card.
