Legal or not, I personally don't think any company is gonna give a hoot about a couple guys here and there using their wares for volunteering on a free project.  If it were me, I'd be ecstatic that you'd use mine instead of something else, cause when you get hired by a company for being so awesome at modeling and you actually have to buy your software, wouldn't they rather you had trained yourself on theirs instead of a free alternative?  Many software products have the 'free except for commercial use' policy in place, and I think it would do these other companies some good to latch on to that philosophy.

Well I just spent 20 hours figuring out how to use the bloody thing to export.

Oh it's FREE (or was) but proprietary, you need the quake md3 exporter and THEN you can use Milkshake/3dexploration etc to do whatever with your creation...

But that's only is you like Gmax modling...

PM your email to me if the more specific workaround is needed... (all I'm gonna say is thank God for Microsoft! LOL now that's ironic!)

Personally i use maya for modelling, but fs2 models i use truespace, cuz i'm stil OMGWTFBBQ lightyears away from figuring out how to export .obj files that work.

I was referring to those shots in his sketch-up models thread with multiple camera angles in a single shot. He had to use some kind of editor for that.

use Irfranview, select screen capture, choose entire screen area 9take out cursor), then initiate capture and tie to key. minimize Irfranview

Start sketchup, get to scene you want (I never used it so guessing) with the multi-views and hit the key you bound screen capture to. File is saved to the location you chose. that's it...
