I can make people think I made renders with PSP and 3dex, so why are you complaining... That was a poor choice of words...  er

Yeh, what the hell is that ship on the left with 5 engines? Methinks a Manticore/Basilisk blend.  

Btw, 3DX isn't that bad. In conjunction with a some image-editing software (Spire), I used it to make pictures like this.

a) It was one of the last I did with 3DX  

b) If I was trying to prove that 3DX isn't crap, it makes sense to use a good example, right?  

(Besides, I have better stuff than that.)

At 1144 polys I can't reduce it enough. I have a working version made out of two sub-objects though. So it does work, but would be problems for slower computers.
