Well, I don't visit here often enough, nor do I play FS as much as I used to (although I am getting a twitch to play through the FS1/2 games again).  I have been working on a campaign on and off since the release of FS2, but since I don't know how to FRED or mod, I decided to go the route of writing it out as a story.  Its still a work in progress, but I am up to Chapter 4 so far (14 pages in MS document).  The intro and prologue were set up to reflect my intent on making this an actual campaign.  I have the first 2 chapters in the Files section, but I may have changed some of the writing since.  Anyways, its here: http://www.gb-blackknight.com/FS2.html
Bear in mind, I'm no web designer either.  
I hope to finish this someday, and who knows, maybe someone will like it enough to help make it into a campaign.

Why not submit it as a possible entry for the Freespace Upgrade project? That way you'd get the entire community to make your mod for you!

You obviously don't understand the concept of the FSUP. The idea was to get together a project the whole community could work on.

A massively detailed storyline like this one would be a good submission for it.

Yeah, I would absolutely love that, to see my idea come to fruition.  I just hate asking for help for two reasons: so many other projects taking up ppl's time, and I just hate to bother people.  I never know how to ask, I guess.

Maybe I'm too hopeful in the story, but I would certainly enjoy ppl say that they liked it - then agian who wouldn't?  (I feel like George McFly and not letting anyone read my material for fear of rejection)  

I think I will still finish the story soon I hope, mixed in between of refreshing my memory for the FS1/2 timeline of events.  I'll see what I can come up with after the weekend (heading out of town).
