Alright, so I know I'm going to get slapped in the face for asking about something thats probably easy, but here it is. How do I get cockpit view, and what files do I have to download to be able to see the cockpit?

1. The ship you are using should have a cockpit model (It will work without one, but it probably will look horrible unless it's the GVF Serapis.).
2. Make a tbm file with the ship/s you want to show the cockpit as +nocreate. Make the flags section and place in there "show ship".

3. Save it as [whatever]-shp.tbm to your data/tables folder (You probably already know this but I thought I should put it in just in case.).
4. Play!

ok, thanks. But i think i heard of a pack you can download so you can get high definition cockpits or something for all the ships, is this true?

No, there's never been anything like that. VA's High Def cockpit is the very beginning of such a system, but there's nothing beyond that as yet.

There was someone who corrected the eyepoints for some of the HTL ships to allow the "Cockpit mode" for more ships.

For the fifth time, this is explained... that's why.    Last I heard, you had to set the flag "player ship visible" in the Launcher or somesuch.  So I wouldn't have known this unless I had stumbled across it.

current mediavp cockpits have opaque HUD panels blocking the player view. (hurting to the experience)
