Q: How (and when) you decided to turn U-War into an independent mod?
Battuta summed it up best. The U-War is A) a very old campaign and B) has so much potential that it deserves some sprucing, but we felt it wrong to work on U-War under the flag of TVWP, which is meant to be about the T-V war. Thus U-War is sort of on the backburner for the moment while we work on T-V chapters.
Q: FREDding-wise, what are we going to see in TVWP? Are you planning to use advanced stuff?
We're not quite sure as of yet. I and the group AFAIK want to focus more on traditional FS-style action gameplay than on advanced scripted events, though we'll certainly make use of features that aid in presenting that action (such as the Ballistic ammo and ship handling effects seen in U-War).
Q: Are there any new ship designs we'll get to see in the near future? If so, is it possible to know more about them?
We're still sort of deciding on our final ship list, but when its done expect some info blurbs to be released.

Q: What's your approach on more or less evident inconsistencies? For instance, where's Talania?
Our story so far has aimed to adhere to FS1 canon (hence the Beta Aquilae node mentioned in the released U-War). However, in the case of Talania the decision so far has been on actually having it as a system. What happenes to it will be discovered in the storyline.

Q: Speaking of armaments, do you a) know what the Vasudans will use (at least in the early stages of the war) and b) plan to use better blob turrets, unlike those seen in FS1?
The Vasudan fleet is still in early stages of development, so we're not quite sure yet. You'll have to watch this space.
Q: What is the next release going to be about?
The T-V war

. Nah just kidding, we're thinking of making our next release set much further into the war as opposed to keeping chronological, so people can actually play the conflict the TVWP was actually meant to present

.
Q: Are you going to use the fiction viewer, maybe to show what went wrong during the Conversation?
An interesting idea. It shall be considered.
