So I made a new mission in Fred and I wanted to test it in FsOpen.  So I put it in my Data/missions and also my Port data/missions because it takes the port to play and I get nothing...  My mission is not in the mission simulator, even more weird is that there are two missions on there that are no longer ANYWHERE on my Freespace directory, cause I did a search, and they "still" play.

Any Ideas?

Um... I think that

- you should have your own mod folder and have the mission in \freespace\yourmod\data\missions
- if it uses FSPort, it would be wise to have a mod.ini in your mod folder to point to the fsport folder,

If it's simply a mission and no alterations to tables I'd say that simply sticking it in the port folder is acceptable.

As for the mission that doesn't show up, what did you call it? There is a filename limit on missions (32 characters with extension IIRC).

Yeah I have the mission "pc-1.1.fs2" in the port/data/missions. With the Mod feature set to my port folder... and I believe that the mod.ini points to my media vp folder since when I look at my tabs it says... -mod port,mediavp

The one that is showing up but deleted from my freespace directory is called "massive battle" just looking at a Endor mission for fun.

EDIT:  Ok ok, I'm wasn't thinking by naming it pc-1.1.fs2 instead of something like pc-1-1.fs2 but forgive me I'm used to the superior mac
