Wrong. The 3870 X2 is faster than every single Nvidia card.
Too bad it doesn't work properly with vsync and triple buffering, is slower than a single 3870 in some games (since you can't really disable CF on it) and can't output a 400mhz video signal.

As far as I am concerned, this and the upcoming 9800GX2 are useless due to all the weird bugs with CF and SLI. If I'm paying $450 or more for one of these things, I expect it to do all the things that a cheaper, single GPU card can.
ati went down the drain imo, with theyr latest cards, nothing they produce can beat a 8800 which is allready an old chip.
I agree. If they had brought out something that could compete with an 8800 within a few months of its release, we would have had a new generation of cards six months ago. As it stands, Nvidia's 9800GTX, GT200 or whatever they're calling it is slated for Q2 this year, so the standard one year gap between generations would have increased to two years. However, the games haven't stopped getting more demanding, so the high end video cards all suck these days.
