Mass Effect for the PC and maybe KOTOR3
I see that Mass effect will be out for the PC (thank god) and it has been announced that is should be out by may this year! but wonder if it will be edited in content with all the fuss parents were making over the XBOX version, now i may sound dum but i don't know what that was about since i don't have a 360 and haven't played the game.

Also it looks like that Bio-ware may well be doing the next KOTOR game and may not be their MMO( which i hope, i prefer singleplayer games) taken from PCZone UK website

"Kotaku reports that during an EA analyst report it was revealed that in addition to working on more Mass Effect, Dragon Age and a 'New MMO', BioWare is also handling a new Knights of the Old Republic title. Which means it's not their upcoming MMO.
Standalone RPG? Looks like it."  link for the story here http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=182195

Oh, the irony!

Seriously though, the backlash from the sex scenes in Mass Effect was incredibly mild. Most rational people were quick to realize that the brief, tasteful scenes were no more raunchy than network television. Hell, the recent debacle on FOX News has been the biggest reaction, and even that was staggeringly low-key compared to Hot Coffee.

In other news, KOTOR3 FTW! Woo!! Our excitement glands can't repel joy of that magnitude!

Re: Mass Effect for the PC and maybe KOTOR3
Who's making KotOR 3, and will they have enough time to actually finish and bugtest the goddamn thing now?

And in other news, I find it hard to get worked up over another KotOR after playing Mass Effect. Srsly, bring on the Mass Effect 2 plz.

Obsidian deserves another crack at it. Even despite Lucasarts forcing them to release TSL incomplete it made KOTOR1 look rather shallow by comparison.

Re: Mass Effect for the PC and maybe KOTOR3
I haven't played Mass Effect yet, so this gives me great joy.  Let's hope the system requirements aren't AS ridiculous as Assassin's Creed PC, and that the hard drive helps the horribly long elevators.

Note that the voice of the female main character is the same voice as Bastilla ;7  ...so I probably won't play the male character until at least the third playthrough ;)

I must agree with Mr. Vega -- from the sheer amount of stuff in the KotOR2 files it would have been pretty awesome if given a bit more time.  Our hopes rest with Team Gizka.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines had a similar story of "rushed, broken, saved by fan project".  Nice that there is precedent of eventual success.

Re: Mass Effect for the PC and maybe KOTOR3
This is excellent news, though I do tend to agree that had Kotor 2 been given the needed development time (rather then being rushed out the door to meet a holiday deadline) it would have far surpassed the original.  It was just a more interesting story, and the epic levels and prestige classes certainly didn't hurt.  Of course, I see no reason why Bioware would chuck those things out the window in the third outing, so my hopes are high.

As for Mass Effect, good things come to those who wait.
Everything is better with monkeys.  Even pie.

That is the best first post I have ever seen.

Yup..there's a storm brewing at Bioware alright..

Heck, you got Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age (their biggest project since Baldurs Gate..or so they said...promissed a press release soon too), that "unnamed MMO", some Sonic game and now KOTOR 3. :D :D :D

Oh joy, oh joy!

"This seems to be much ado about nothing (to quote the bard). This was a slide that EA used to show the pedigree of the different studios to investors. That is why you see games that have already been released (like KotOR, Black, Boogie and others) mentioned on the slide."

Unfortunately what he is saying is that they are not working on KotOR 3 at this time.

Zoltan, you frequent Bioware forums?

My account is not working...actually all 3 of my accounts are not working. :doubt:
After several months of e-mail correspondence with accounts, assuring me the problem has been fixed (again and again) it still isn't. I've been in lurk-mode for the past year. :hopping:  You know if anyone else is experiencing any problems or maby it's jsut my IP adress that been banned or something (can't think of why...an no one from accounts mentioned anything.)

I rarely post, but I read frequently, mainly on the BG II and Dragon Age forums. I personally haven't experienced any problems, but like I said I'm not all that active, so there could be a problem that I have missed. Good luck getting your account(s) fixed.

Yeah i heard about this last night one word for that bugger! i'm sure one day there will be a KotOR 3 but i'm happy just to be getting the chance to play Mass Effect without having to pay for a console that i wouldn't use for anything else.

Please Please Please make KOTOR 3 single player.....sorry whenever I see anything relating to KOTOR3 I have a need to say that. I hate MMO's.

The only thing that could justify spending up to 150$ a year on a single game is that if it was better than pie.

This is impossible, as nothing is better than pie.  Except possibly sex.  However, one could argue that pie is sex, so that furthers my point.

No matter the criticisms of Mass Effect, I'll still play it when it comes out for PC. KOTOR (and KOTOR2) have convinced me to trust Bioware enough to take the leap of faith. Talk of PC-specific improvements doesn't hurt, either.

Mass Effect is really freakin' awesome. More than worth the purchase with the improvements it will get on the PC.
