I know enough about projects in general by my personal experience and i know that time actually doesn't matter here. Ideas never die and stuff. And i don't quite believe he just threw those models in a trash can.

I don't know about what projects you know, but this is dead as a doorknob. DaBrain moved on long ago. I wouldn't have any hope for this. Models might still be there, but might've been lost in some hardware mishap/disk cleanup. It happens.
