Okiedokie, everything is scaled in, and it will shoot stuff up real good, but none of the non-combat subsystems work. Any suggestions for a fix?

Non-combat subsystems (comm etc) can be added in PCS2 (under "Special Points").  They are usually just a point with a radius (unless it is a destroyable subsystem, in which case it needs geometry).  Also don't forget they need to be defined in the table.

Hmmm... Thanks for the suggestion. I think it might be fault in the POF file itself, since there are specials already in the file and defined in the table. It might be an issue with PCS1, since that's what I have to use for subsystems (I have a really crappy install of PCS2--almost nothing but the textures editor works, everything else causes a crash. Suggestions?)

My suggestion is use PCS2 RC2A to edit the POF, and then recompile it with 2.0.1.  I get those crashes too, but this method works for me.

And just a reminder... There's always modelview (to fall back on).

Only use modelview if ABSOLUTELY necessary.  PCS2 is stable enough to be used in at least 99.5% of situations.

In my install of PCS2, it's only .5% stable.

I finally found a way to get the (insert preferred explicative here)ed subsystems to appear. I had to do it with modelview (since PCS1 is crapped in it's subsytems writer, and pcs 2 just crashes if I try to use anything but texture name editing). But that's not important. the important part is that the thing works. Here's the link.

So... you'll find the POF in there, the Hyperlaser1.pcx file is for the special lasers I gave it, you can change that if you want... and the .txt file has all the table entries needed to make it work.

Well, as of now... I'm trying to survive finals week. After that I'll be working on a few other things... and I also intend to start on a modded campaign that my friends and I have been planning for a while now. But, since that usually goes rather slowly.... I can expect to have a fair amount of free time in a few weeks. I could do some older stuff (and I will remember to do debris next time).
