DC is manageable. Weekends are really great as far as accomodations go, too--you can get some nice deals on hotels in Arlington. After all, they have all this space, but they're only using it during the week.

August is a good month, too, as most everyone has some time to travel that month, and it's far enough ahead in the future that we can request off from our respective workplaces.

There are five weekends available. Think we should pick one?

I live in Boston. My son is due May 32st, so, I expect I will be out of pocket a good chunk of the summer.

Your son will be 32 stone when he's born!!!!

I will be over there at the end of August anyway, for this. Some time that weekend would be good for me. Earlier in the month may work, but I can't say for sure. I may be working somewhere in the summer and haven't finalized my plans for that yet.

i say we do later... after summer.  because i have plans this whole summer.  i'll be in NYC July 4th for a week, but have plans, otherwise i'd meet up.

so i guess meeting in DC (or thereabouts) seems to be the concensus?  fine with me!

yea i liked the idea of the Chicago meet but anything off of alaska airlines routes is out of the question. also you want to do it somewhere with a big airport hub since a good many of us would have to fly in. i dont currently have the funds for anything at the moment.

well if you want a big airport hub, houston is the place to meet... it also happens to be the headquarters for continental and another airline (i forget which)

Chicago should be fine for a "huge airport hub", but I'd think we need some local HLP'ers to be there, to save money on taxis. I'm actually thinking of going to a meet in New Brunswick, NJ, with a number of overclockers and crunchers from XS.
