After some discussions about green shivans from cutscenes and cbanims/fs1 alpha I decided to start working on them... Here's a result:

Bah, only the FS1 Shivans should be green. The FS2 Shivans were always red, the FS1 Shivans started off green.

Also, they weren't completely green. There were bits of super-glowy white stuff too.

But only for FS1 stuff, I mean the FS2 ones just won't work. They'll look like another insect species assimilated by the Borg. (if they were light blue, they'd be assimilated by the Mobius )

I say go for all of them. You know you want to. And I'd give anything to replay the FS2 campaign with the Shivans green instead of red. And their weapons green included.

Hmm... This gives me idea to recolour everything. Green shivans and their weapons, white beam cannons and weapons for terrans. And Vasudans- dislike them, gonna leave yellow.

And what would we have red in FS2 then ? Sathanas, Ravana, a few fighters. Which wouldn't fit in red then.

And blue Shivans... hard even to imagine them like that.

P.S. One time I saw a video. Someone mis-typed the name Lucifer and typed it as 'Sucifer'. Immediate idea - pink Lucifer with rainbow coloured beams, and a red heart in front. Damn, it was such a disturbing thought...

Extract all the green glowmaps from the mediavps, run imagemagick on them, make new vp and call it "Green Shivans".

In the context of my theory, it could be that one Shivan race encountered a highly advanced race of spacefarers which used some energy that was green in color. It was better than the red energy the Shivans used, so they wiped out that species and used their technology.

My theory is adaptable.

All I care anyway is that Shivan guns don't impact my hull or the ships in my escort list. No time to think where they come from or why are they green or red. But I enjoy seeing how they look. Shivan ships look awesome.
