Hello,

I've launched my project blog for an own spacesim experiment called "Simerge". I'm aiming for a spacesim which should be somewhere a mixture between "X3 Reunion" and "EOC: Independance War 2". Simerge (Merged space simulations) will be an economy and combat simulator like X3, but instead of sectors it implements a world configuration like I-War2 has.

Shame that people were too busy to help you out with getting that planetary engine into FSO a while back, but I guess that's how it goes sometimes.

Later I had to realize that it wasn't possible to implement a planetary engine in FS2. Or better, it's nearly impossible. I ran into bug chaos and had to give up then. But right after that I began with Simerge.

@Davros:
I-war is my favourite game, too.  Especially the freeform flight possibility. Unfortunately, such a feature is too rare in space games.
