So that's all the canon weapons done! Now we have the non-canon weapons left. Your chance to be creative.

The Railgun is in progress. We also have the Vasudan Light Laser, Fang dumbfire missile, Barracuda light bomb, and Havoc cluster bomb that need artwork. All are Fourteen-Year War era Vasudan weapons.

With help from Cobra, we've cleaned up the Hornet's geometry and smoothing and made a new texture for it based on its FS1 appearance.

Cluster bomb... why does it look so weathered?

I can't really understand why a bomb would look weathered, particularly one that is invented shortly before you use it. I mean, it's a bomb. It doesn't get a lot of use. It gets fired and then it explodes. End of story. Less weathering please.

Who cares? You don't see it that much anyway, and weathering is better than just having a flat texture.

Besides, I'm not messing with the Cluster Bomb's textures anymore.

Okay so all the original weapons are done. I have a mesh for the Vasudan Light Laser but we need more assets. For quick reference, we need high-poly UV-mapped and textured models for the following:

Prometheus R (From FS2)
Prometheus S (From FS2)
Railgun (Related to the Maxim)
UD-1 Volz (Shivan derivative, predecessor to the Kayser)
Fang (Dumbfire missile fired in pairs)
Barracuda (Vasudan light bomb)

Aside from fixed versions of certain current fsport_mediavps graphics, I've made these weapon graphics that I plan to upload tomorrow. Each picture, aside from the turrets, shows three bolts, not two. If one bolt looks bigger than the other, it's because two of them are overlapping:

The Akheton SDG effect by itself looked kind of lame for the Advanced Disruptor. A color shift improved things greatly.



Banshee: Men and women alike prefer particles. This doesn't really do it justice, the particles are similar in number and size to the Kayser's (but a much deeper blue)


The very mention of the ML-9T training laser is enough to send shivers down the spine of a cargo container.



Terran Turret. Surprisingly deadly if you're unshielded.


Terran Huge Turret. Does anyone actually get hit by these things?



Vasudan Turret.



I don't think many people get hit by these, either.

Set same laser head and tail radius' for the weapons. They'd look better ( not "rotate" the effect ).

I do hope those effects are released soon, I'd like to see if the cyan Terran Turret is more fitting than the standard yellow, I'm sure it might be already.
