It's actually one of the reasons I stopped playing the game, it made my pc to smell funny and give me a headache.
If you hit it and it bleeds, you can kill it. If you hit it and it doesn't bleed...You are obviously not hitting hard enough.

In fairness, I only used DF because (a) It was running at the time I noticed the temperature, a few more checks showed that most moderate stress programs were doing it, even Minecraft, and (b) It hardly uses the graphics card at all, so there's no loads being shared or anything, pretty much 99% of what it does is CPU based :)

But yeah, that game rocks :D

It really is funny though, how resource intensive it is. A combination of toady's less-than-optimal coding and the fact that it's just doing so damn much under the hood, yet you could hardly tell by looking at it. :p

Just learned the hard way that while Prom Rs are the worst primaries, that doesn't mean that it takes a lot to kill you (i.e. Trying to record a video of Feint! Parry! Riposte! and I keep getting killed by the Hercs).  :hopping:

Banning Trashman would lower the amounts of RAGE around here. Seeing as HLP is fueled by our rage and hatred of each other and of FS, we naturally can't have that. :p ;)
