Re: Whatever Happens In Your Life: Forever
I'm writing from PC User's Linux distribution, running from my laptop's DVD drive.

Why?

I picked up my new computer today. After getting everything connected, I popped in the Windows 7 DVD I made from MSDNAA's free download...and it didn't work. So I went back onto my laptop, since PC User has a nifty program that can make a USB flash drive into a Windows 7 bootable USB installer. So I left it to make it while I had dinner. When I came back it was turned off, and then I couldn't boot it. I believe the hard drive has stuffed up again. Thankfully, though, I can still access the hard drive with this Linux DVD, so I can still salvage all of my files. But really, that was just bad luck for me today.

EDIT: So if I went to the shops tomorrow and bought Windows 7, would I be able to use it to install onto a blank hard drive? And what about getting a 64-bit version (not entirely necessary, I think, but I would definitely prefer it)?

EDIT 2: Looks like my hard drive wasn't stuffed after all - I was able to get into Vista again on my laptop.

I said that there are none that I know of, not that I do not know where they are.

The first step in locating a neutron generator is realizing that they exist. In your case, this would likely come about by you falling into one.

Noted, start toeing the line people. Unprovoked stuff like that is a no-no.

Just finished "The Turn of the Screw" by Henry James. It's a mere 94 pages long, but it's a difficult read.

what the hell is up with vrets?  i gather he's trying to insult scotty, but has said nothing that makes any kind of sense.  and how the hell does my neutron generator fit into this?  for the record, yes, neutrons do unpleasant things to you.  and it's not something you could fall into.

Truly, I have invoked science for evil. Please forgive me for using neutron generators to bring ruin upon this simple and honest thread.

As a consolation prize, everyone gets a 'lollypop.' To make a further gesture of goodwill, I will move this thread back to equilibirium by proffering a meaningless, rambling current event from my life:

Today, I baffled some humorless clods on the internet.

I also dress as a ballerina on sundays and wear my hair in a bun.

Edit- humour.

Loyalist Edit: Alright, just 'clods' then.

HLP has had a lot of high-caliber trolls, and mate, you aren't one of them.

Go spend a year learning from an0n or Janos in a sequestered Himalayan monastery.

To befuddle humorless people would require using humor instead of being High Max v.94.

Re: Whatever Happens In Your Life: Forever
I've finally learned that I'm not immune to motion sickness after all. While sitting on the shuttle bus to school this morning, I fell asleep and was almost instantly hit by a wave of nausea. I tried to sleep four times, and I was hit with a wave of nausea four times.

ive only had motion sickness once, while playing doom on my ipod on the bus. its like an every time thing, its also the only way i get motion sickness in a vehicle. i played freespace on a plane once and farcry 2 on a boat, and neither have the same effect for some reason, i think the small screen of the ipod was a major factor. your eyes need to experience the same thing as your equilibrium. but i dont know how sleep can **** that up, i grew up sleeping on the bus with no ill effect.

I remember falling asleep on a public bus several years ago. I napped for about an hour before I woke up feeling very sick, but not sick enough to throw up.

11 years ago, I fell asleep on a coach that was driving through the night. I had no motion sickness whatsoever.

Re: Whatever Happens In Your Life: Forever
I scored a 94 on a science exam that I took 12 minutes to compete. 50 questions. That's a 3-way tie for 8th highest score. (one 100, one 98, six 96, three 94, out of 140 test-takers)
Better than the first test; I scored a 92 and finished in 13 minutes (including the question I posed to the teacher).
