Re: Whatever Happens In Your Life: Forever
MoO II was the best turn-based strategy game I think I've ever played.

But stay away from MoO III.  It sucked.

I have a slight cold. It's nothing unusual, really; I've had it before.

And for crying a damn river, stop posting so I can post! :p

Re: Whatever Happens In Your Life: Forever
Buy MoO II. It's worth it.

If GOG transactions would go over for me, I'd get MoO 1 & 2 from there, but that seems to be a no-go. :(

However, there is an abandonware version of the first MoO on Abandonia! :D

Re: Whatever Happens In Your Life: Forever
I saw a friend that I havent seen in quite a while.  It's fun to be able to walk up to her and say, mostly seroius, "Is your mom still planning our wedding?" (yes)

On a less fun note, it appears that my male best friend is rather smitten with my female best friend.  She isn't.  This is going to be difficult, especially since he is rather prone to depression.

Just wrapped up the Directors Cut of Kingdom of Heaven on Blu, it was Awe..some.

More story, more political intrigue and more medieval violence!   It's to bad the suits yanked all this out of the theater version, it really cranks it up to eleven.

Re: Whatever Happens In Your Life: Forever
so i went to what was supposed to be a rave right before exams start outside the library.  apparantly the DJ didn't have a permit, so there was no music.

"BUT WAIT!" one brilliant college guy said.
"I CAN DRIVE MY TRUCK INTO THE BRICKYARD AND PLAY MUSIC FROM THERE!"

at which point, things deteriorated rapidly.  the mob followed the truck as the police forced it out, and then poured into the street stopping what little bit of traffic there was that late at night.  at this point i heard one of the cops say into his radio "the students have taken the street!" as he walked by.  that made me laugh.  half of the raleigh PD began to arrive to force everyone off the street.  from there it went on to the belltower, then some idiot screamed "CHANCELOR'S HOUSE!"  bad idea.  thank god nobody actually messed with it, but the mob started moving toward downtown.  all the while, people were doing progressively stupider things.  like try to climb the belltower.  around this point i figured it was a good time to leave.  when the "**** the police" chants started, it ceased to be a fun "rave" for stress relief before finals and became a bunch of drunken idiots causing a scene for the hell of it.  (except they weren't even drunk most of them)

Re: Whatever Happens In Your Life: Forever
That was a nice weekend. Though it began rather... not that well.

I was in a train on my way to my friends place, when a way over middle aged couple came to the car and sat next to me.
Both were well drunk allready (it was about 5PM), which was nothing that unusual.
But then things turned a bit awkward when the "gent" began making advances to me.
He Rubbed my leg and asked if he could suck me out. I remained silent, since it usually works, and it did... more or less (if you talk back then they might get even more exited "hey that guy responds").
He still tried to ask me to come for a pizza with them or go and have a drink or two.
The train was a bit full so I didn't really have anywhere else to go, so I just remained silent. Perhaps I had a rather displeased look on my face too since they began questioning eachother whether I even understood what they were saying or if I were a violent criminal or something like that... half jokingly I think.

Luckily my stop came (not soon enough though) and my silent treatment paid off when I turned back on my way out and said politely "Have a nice evening!" (in Finnish of course) to them, which made the "lady's" jaw drop rather wide.

Only REAL downside was that I had my newest Naruto comicbook with me to read on the train, and apparently I hadn't pushed it deep enough into my pocket since I noticed later that I had dropped it somewhere. So I had to buy a new one. Bugger.

Oh the joys of Vappu.
Habeeb it...
