We basically just sat around and ate way too many snacks, then my dad lit off some uncomfortably-low-detonating fireworks after the ball drop. I mean it's not a bad thing, and it's much more in line with my introvert sensibilities than a full-fledged party, but I'd have liked to spend it with someone besides a parent.

this was the first time in four years i wasn't completely alone, and maybe like the third time in my life with others than my parents. most years recently i've spent it pissed off/depressed i wasn't spending it with a certain lady.

I had to work graveyard shift (hotel/casino) for New Year, and then got chewed out by the casino's general manager because I counted down the last 10 seconds (using time.gov as a reference) over the intercom like I have every 31 December since 31 December 2011, but apparently they had planned to do it from the promotions booth according to a clock that was 2 minutes slow.

Having serious second thoughts about my new year's skim trip. It's completely flat today. But (new) tradition! Also my friends are lame again. Not sure establishing a new tradition is worth my simply getting wet alone.

It marks 5 years this week since i was diagnosed with non Hodgkins lymphoma and in February it will be 5 years since I went into remission. Its amazing how fast time goes and how so much changes.

Well, after a lot of thinking and not sleeping, I've decided to resume my gender transition. Going to be a rough few months while I sort out all of the medical stuff so I can begin. I hope at least the outcome will be worth it.
