I'm Indian and was born Hindu.

The Shivans, Vasudans, Rakshasa, Ravana, etc. are all mythological Indian names from Hinduism. I just think of FS whenever I hear those names.
Just don't give away the homeworld...

Googling FS references aside, Local to me there is a newsagents (7/11 to the american contingent) named Shiven News.

I always conciously change it in my head and smile :D

Actually, this has became annoying to me - whenver I search for 'FreeSpace' I come up with results like 'how to free space up in your computer' and etc.
