As a semi-refreshing change from all the "Best game" threads that used to plage the forum, I offer up a different sorta poll- one that allows much refreshing whining, too.:D

The worst game I ever played would have to be... well, aside from the screechy-PC-speaker types that go beyond the beyonds and lock my computer as well, I'd have to say Nocturne. Only FPS I ever bought, had this wierd setup with cameras off in some corner so that as soon as you were attacked by, say, a horde of werewolves, you would immediately switch to a lovely view of, say, the main character's feet, which would shortly be joined by several of the main character's giblets.
A close second- whaddaya know, I just went and bought Outforce. It was worth the $1, but just for the cutscenes. The only "strategy" I've ever seen to actively encourage the tank (or, in this case, fighter/destroyer) rush.

:wtf:

Ever think the High definitions pack was the new effects and weapons? About nearly every gun was redone in higher detail..

If this is restricted to retail games that are bad for their time, I would say Extreme Paintball. (or was it paintbrawl?) Good thing I only played it on one of the computers at the local best buy outlet (they have some display machines there with the latest games running) and did not actually buy it...

sw: force commander - horrable controls and akward gameplay, and all around just not fun

Mech Warrior 3  (MW2 Adv), not much better gameplay, but the intro movie was cool ("Die clanner")

Pokemon? :D

Well, seriously at least it worked... the worst game I've played would be... um... technically Tachyon:The Fringe, it doesn't run on my comp and when it does it crashes and screws up seriously.

Gameplay wise: uhhh Macross VFX-2, it looks as if the valkerie (or vertitech) is suspended in air with it rotating to shoot. Very funny to look at and hard to play/boring to play. It was cheap though. (got it at book off, no don't get any wierd ideas, a japanese used game/book whatever shop. Got it when I was in Tokyo)

ah am i remember the joy of my first blaster cannon - could pretty much destroy smallish ship in 1 hit and could blast an enterance in the tops of the big ships then flying up and in - ahhhhhhhhh i think i will go install it again

An english teacher would scold you for a run-on that long...

Worst game? hmmm... I'd say StarWars: Force Commander as well...

The sides were totally unbalanced, the Imperials owned all (well, as they should; but its no fun. It was just a game thrown together to make $, and it totally sucked. I am never gonna buy a StarWars strategy game again I don't think(unless its some 'commander' type game in a Star Destroyer :D)

Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

go to www.avault.com/cheats/

i'm sure thats where i found them - you can get death stars that only take 2 days to building and likewise ssd and stuff too so you can swarm the rebleiion with thousands of cool ships and deathstars around ever planet ensiring loyatly same with troopers and stuff - heheh then you can blow away the rebel head quaters with a death star heheh =) best not to use it too much just to get you established then save the game and disable the cheats cause it becomes to easy but use it to set up what the emipre was supposed to be (or the rebels as they would have wished to be) then go back to normal

It's not the specs, it's the program.

I meet all the specs and it used to run, but the game's is really buggy. When it did run it was quite fun. (good graphics too)

I tried tachyon.  Looked good, but the game would screw up my joystick every once in awhile.  It would sort of lock itself going one direction (the game, not the joystick).  This seemed to happen if i was to close to an explosion.  The only way to fix it was to reset my comp and try again.

I might try it again soon.  I reformated my comp, so maybe it will work better.

The worst game in my opinion is tied between Birth of the Federation and SW: Force commander.  Luckily i only played the demo of FC...

I think I will too... I loved the original X-Com UFO Defense! I remember way back when you could rent computer games, I rented it and installed it on my old 486. I got a CD-rom version and runs great (usually)... *sniff* memories! Ok, now I'm really gonna go install it again.
