Of late, my connection has developed a disease whereby it disconnects randomly. Obviously, this spells disaster for any downloads I have going.

So, is there a torrent anywhere of the MediaVPs? I've tried downloading them normally several times already, only to get disconnected and end up with corrupt files.

A torrent would be a great idea. There's an old installer called the Shivan_SPS pack, but I get the sense it's a bit dodgy, and it only comes with the 3.6.8 VPs anyway.

try firefox. I have disconnected my internet while downloading and it doesn't seem to phase it.

Oh, right -- if you use Firefox 3, you can just resume the download when the connection hiccups.

Anyway, the point is, I'm getting a crash on the 3rd mission of the campaign, and I think it might be a corrupt VP that's causing it, as it doesn't happen if I run the game without the MediaVP mod tag.
So, if I can download them in such a way that they don't get messed up, I'll be able to tell if that's what's causing it or not.

'course, if anyone can suggest what else it might be, that would be useful.

It's the jump node. Both FS2 and FRED crash when there's a jump node on screen.

What's all that about?

What build? System specs? Tried running a debug build (preferrably a 3.6.10 one)?

Tried 3.6.9 and 3.6.10, same thing happens.
System spec is: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200, 4GB PC6400 RAM, Radeon 4850 512MB, Vista Ultimate

I've sorted it now anyway, by copying the default FS2 node model into the MediaVPs directory.

What Catalyst drivers were you running? And from the sounds of things, you encountered a bug.
