The disc cover says "Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds". It even has the exact same music. I ought to recognize it; t'was one of the earliest games I've ever played, and only managed to complete it once after SIX MONTHS of playing it, when I was about 9.

Well, the game is pretty faithful to the musical. The fighting machines in game are more or less exact replicas. The Ironclads too. As for the music, I was pretty young at that time. I remembered loving the music during the game, but being 9, I didn't have much of an intrest in musicals, even one that spawned a game. Now, I'm pretty damn intrested in hunting down a copy ...

Of course moderation here is unfair and biased. People on HLP have always been harassed because people didn't like them, or banned because they asked the wrong question at the wrong time and somebody needed to make an example of someone. It pisses me off all the time when I see it happen.

But, nobody is forcing you to be here. You can always leave and go to one of the 10 or 20 other forums where you get along great with the people.
