hi all,

I am playing the deus ex machina campaign but I am stuck to the level where you have a ship surrounded my shivan ships and you need to find a way out for it (when they test the translator device). It asks for me to press 1  which I do, I have been all around the ship and pressed 1 but nothing, I even cheated and destroyed the shivan ship right in front but still nothing. Is there something I am missing?

Hint: Notice that the Shivan cruisers form a ring around the Iceni.

Actually, I never got through that mission myself. Even if I did what I was supposed too.

Even if you <somehow> managed to get the Iceni to jump, once you attempt to get back to base, you self-destruct.
I managed to get the Iceni to jump . . . but I think it's an unbeatable campaign.

There's a way.

The blow up on jump out is just another DEM joke.  Apparently if you hit Alt-J, ESC, then Alt-J again real fast, it'll work.

YES! I actually completed the DEM campaign! <through sheer persistence of pressing 1 all the place so don't ask me to tell you  >
